Continuing its descent.

Despite the best efforts of my friends, my low pop culture score continues its decline. Since my original post, I have seen two Monty Python movies (“Monty Python and the Holy Grail” and “Life of Bryan”) along with Dr. Strangelove, and a few mindless movies like, “Blades of Glory.” (I can’t believe I’m admitting to that in public.

However, I recently read the list of Oscar winners from this year. The results: I have only seen one of the movies listed. One (English), un (French), uno (Italian and Spanish), een (Dutch), Ένa (Greek), eins (German) movie out of this entire list. (It was Juno).

I am going to watch “No Country for Old Men” with a friend tonight. However, the reality is that I’m being outpaced by production. I’ve only seen three movies in theaters this entire year. At this rate, I’ll never catch up.
