Got the job!

I applied for and got offered a fantastic 2L job. By "fantatsic" I mean that it really works with my studying schedule and will develop my research skills, all while getting paid.

I am now a Student Representative for Lexis-Nexis. What this means is that I will sit up in the computer lab and be available to answer questions students have about using Lexis-Nexis. Most of the time there are no questions and I will be able to get a lot of studying done. Essentially, I am getting paid to study my own materials and be available. It is a lot like being a night-watchman in a remote area: Be available if needed, but most nights are quiet.

On top of that, I have been developing a lot of side-work. On Friday, I am going to write a tort-demand letter to an insurance company, and do some immigration work. Saturday, I am going to do some work for a Collaborative Family Law attorney getting her practice organized after her maternity leave.

After not working for the past year, it will be nice to earn some "coffee money." Mostly it is just great to do real work and feel needed again.
